cleanliness + sanitization

we promise to put your health first! we don’t use whirlpool pedicure chairs because their jets simply swoosh around bacteria which makes them impossible to clean. we also clean and disinfect all stainless steel tools in isopropyl alcohol and a hospital-grade autoclave between each service. our buffers, nail files, and cotton pads are thrown out after every appointment.

allergies + sensitivities

please inform us prior to your appointment if you have any skin sensitivities, allergies, or medical conditions we should be aware of.

application policy

we have a no refund policy on services completed. please communicate any issues or concerns about your nails/service (manicures or pedicures) prior to leaving the salon. 

we offer complimentary correction on chipped or broken nails within five [5] days of service - this must be reported via email (with a supporting photo) within this timeframe. Nail fixes reported after five [5] days and within two [2] weeks will be subject to a fee (per nail - upon management approval).

nail art is NOT included in repairs but can be replaced by a solid colour. the “application policy” does not cover colour change or service change.

please note: regular nail polish may dry to the touch within half an hour (and feel dry within 4 hours) but it takes 24 hours for polish to fully cure. damaged or smudged polish due to lack of care will be subject to charge ($5 per nail to be repaired or repainted [fixes for nail art begin at $7+ per nail]).

zero tolerance policy

our salon has a zero tolerance policy for harassment, violence, and discriminatory or abusive language of any kind. we all have the right to a safe workplace free of any form of violence. our technicians have the right to refuse unreasonable requests and may decline any service to any client at any time.

we value your loyalty. we do our very best to meet our client expectations within reason. our technicians have the right to decline services to clients after a [one] customer service recovery has been extended and the client is still unsatisfied.

shellac removal

KUKO HOUSE reserves the right to charge $3 for shellac removal if followed by another shellac manicure or pedicure application. if you are coming in only to remove your shellac polish without a shellac or regular polish appointment, the fee is $13. shellac removal can take up to 15 minutes and MUST be indicated at the time of booking to ensure enough time is reserved for this service.

bio gel removal

KUKO HOUSE reserves the right to charge $10 for bio gel removal if followed by another service. if you are coming in only to remove your bio gel polish without a shellac or regular polish appointment, the fee is $16. removal can take up to 30 minutes and MUST be indicated at the time of booking to ensure enough time is reserved for this service.

acrylic nails

please note that we do not provide acrylic services, and therefore do not offer removal. we provide bio gel nail services including, extensions and tips.

we currently do not refill bio gel services applied by other salons or technicians as we are not 100% sure of the application steps, or products used — which may compromise the quality and longevity of our service.

pet policy

we love your dog(s) but unfortunately due to health and safety regulations furry friends can’t keep you company while you get your nails did - with the exception of service animals.

nail art

please note, prices for nail art vary depending on the level of detail, time, and materials used. your nail tech will consult with you during your appointment.

little ones

due to safety considerations, kids 12 and under must have a parent or guardian present (who is not receiving a service) throughout the duration of mani/pedi services. gel polish or extensions are not permitted on kids under 12 years of age.

sick policy

yes, sick days happen but please do NOT come into KUKO HOUSE for an appointment if you are sick - you may reschedule your booking. if you come in and are sick you may be turned away (so pleeease just stay home). to ensure everyone’s safety, our employees are also required to stay home if they are sick or feeling ill.
